Hi all,

a picture of the Moon at its first day.
This is a mosaïc of 14 frames, taken with a Toucam Pro at the prime focus of
my C8, with an IR-cut filter.
The picture is here : http://images.ciel.free.fr/Eversion/Moon/Moon1d.html

And also a picture of Earthshine at the same night, with some extra clouds

Great shots Norbert - not easy to grab such a young Moon in such
detail.

I can't help feeling you missed something though! ;)

They show Mercury is more or less the same relative position as I
briefly saw it, using old petrol-token binoculars; not sure whether I
really saw it without them. You, of course, should expect a clearer
horizon than I do.

Thanks Pete.

Nice pictures. I find the third one as particularly aesthetic.
In fact, after taking the films for the mosaïc, I wanted to take the
conjunction, but at this moment, some small but ugly clouds appeared on the
horizon Sad(
