I've had a hard time finding a bulk source of
n-butyl cyanoacetate (a liquid) in North America.
I've spoken to some brokers in Europe and China,
and although they're willing to obtain it for
me, they require a minimum quantity of, say,
3000kg and I would expect the shipping charges
and customs hassles to be significant.

At this time, I am prepared to order between
100kg and 600kg. (Three 55-gallon drums would
be about 600kg.)

There are a number of web sites that help locate
chemicals, but these sites always lead me to
suppliers outside of North America.

Degussa (now part of Evonik) recently stopped
selling this product in the USA.

The CAS# is 5459-58-5. Some alternate names for
this compound are:
- butyl cyanoacetate
- butylcyanoacetate
- n-butyl alpha-cyanoacetate
- BCYA
- cyanoacetic acid butyl ester
- cyanoacetic acid n-butyl ester
- acetic acid, cyano-, butyl ester



Does any of you know how I might locate a source
of n-butyl cyanoacetate in North America?
