Did "the real story" about Steorn ever come out? What was their
point? It was pretty obvious that a new energy source wasn't it. Was
it to demonstrate a PR machine? Promote a web hosting biz?
A full-page ad in The Economist, and claiming to assemble a panel of a
bunch of scientists was pretty elaborate. Does anybody know why this
was done? |

Their "point" was this:

To stimulate investment.
It is telling that they were able to scratch up over a million Euros
in "revenues" with a fake energy scam. Their books (note the 2008
copyright, but no income after 2005!) show a net loss of over 1.7
million Euros, so nobody is going to try to recoup a part of their
investment - the lawyers would take even more.
