I belive that I am as kind and gentle, arnd caring a person as it
gets, but facts are facts...and the fact here is that I see
sci.physics being destroyed by the vast plurality of posts made by
those having absolutely no knowledge of physics and whose continuing
rants are entirely based on mental health issues.
Worse too, I believe that there is an increasing faction in the mental
health community that urges this behaviior, if posted withing
newsgroups other than those of the mental health community itself!
Hey guys, let off your steam, but do it in sci.physics, and not in our
backyard. Sometimes, this view is openly posted on some of the mental
health newsgroups.
I really don't believe that the "mental health experts" could imagine
that their newsgroup(s) could be equally impacted and destroyed.
Perhaps that too will happen.
My point here is simply that I am tired of reading posts lacking any
physics content, posted by a group of people who for want of better
description are simply "crazy".
Perhaps if we were to return this gift in kind to the "mental health
newsgroups" the crazys posts to sci.physics would at least decline, at
which time we would see far fewer posts to the newsgroup, but the
reamining posts might all be devoted to actual physics.
Just a thought. Harry C. |

The vast majority of the lunatics that post to USENET haven't a clue
there is anything wrong with them.
The sci groups are not unique in having lunatics, but do seem to attract
more than most.

Use your kill file and ignore troll posts... all of a sudden
sci.physics becomes more palatable. |
