I was just reading the proposed 2009 science funding
in April Physics Today
and the USGS falls at the bottom of the list witha 7% cut.
As a whole earth science gets abotu 13% increase through
NSF and DOE.
This has happened for several years now and must be
difficult to work there. |

It certainly can be, yes. I'm in water, not geology or hazards, but we
face the same thing. Again...
