the expenses on stupid war. The war that has nothing to do with US, and
you flip-flopping to no-end. You voted for BUSH twice, so I'm not going
to support any charities because life is hard for every one. Fuck you
Bush supporters, you're really blind you son of a bitches.
Gas Prices Hurting Food Bank.

Another trickle down affect of high gas prices here in San Antonio could
really hurt some local families. The Food Bank is in desperate need of
donations.
Just in the last six weeks, the Food Bank has seen about a 15 percent
increase in the need for food.
It's gas prices that are impacting the food supply here.
First, the Food Bank itself is having to spend more money on gas for the
trucks so it's costing more to transport food from one place to another.
People are also having to shuffle money around and make some tough
decisions.
"They pay big bills first - rent, utilities, car payment," said Eric
Cooper, the Executive Director of Food Bank. "It's what's leftover that
picks up all those unfixed expenditures like gas and food.
Right now, most have no choice, they have to pay for gas and there isn't
any money left for food. That's leaving more people in need of assistance.
And to add to the problem, the Food Bank isn't seeing as many donations
because people just don't have as much to give.
But remember, every little bit helps. If you can make a donation, go to
the Food Bank Monday through Friday or click here to go to their website. |
