Have you seen the crap out of DC (aptly named for Dumbassed Congressmen).
One side of the dumbos wants to offer a tax refund to those who buy homes
that were foreclosed upon, like that helps those who are about to have a
home foreclosed upon.
The other side of the dumbos wants to issue a refundable credit, 10% of home
price not to exceed $7500 - but - the amount of the credit has to be paid
back to the government over 10 years.
Doesn't these incentives just deepen the problem by enticing folks into
buying something they can't really afford?
"Hey, I can't afford this $75,000 house, but I get $7500 tax refund by doing
so......so......will H&R RAL that puppy by noon tomorrow? I'm kinda needing
that to fund the down payment."
Both bills kinda have "dumbass" written all over it. |
