Looks like Soon energy Problem will be solved, If the Solar Power
continues to drop as in this article.

http://www.getclub.com/Show/view.php?best=Articles&itemid=11

It suggests an efficient Solar Technology has been developed which is
25% more efficient than previous generation. By 2011 Solar Energy will
be as cheap as coal.

So we will have less polluted source of Energy which will be cheaper
and save Environment too.

Some random blogs on this company...

Nanosolar already claims the "less than a $1/watt" retail price
although you can't buy them yet.

What we need now are a) people that will sell at $1/watt,
b) really dirt cheap high capacity batteries.

Whatever you do, don't let William Mook know about any of this, and
for God's don't ever create any h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide) with the
surplus of such clean/renewable energy.

In your silly and obviously limited frame of a naysay mindset, that
which can't hardly think inside or much less outside of that cozy box
that's keeping your energy sucking butt warm, as such there's only
those spendy and polluting forms of fossil and nuclear fuel
alternatives, of which I've never once excluded.

Whatever you do, don't ever leave that cozy box, or much less use
thorium, or the likes of h2o2 as easily made from those pesky clean
and renewable energy alternatives, because your nayism of status quo
or bust might otherwise implode on yourself.

On paper its a very nice idea: renewable source, no moving parts,
simple, eventually cheap.

However, I saw an article recently about solar cell manufacturing in
China and they make a ton of a solid waste byproduct that is toxic
and bad for the soil and lots of land in China is being made
permanently useless on account of this.

Why don't we sell the idea that if the total number of human beings
could be reduced, a lot, then we would not have to worry about energy,
polution, waste, etc.

Fire was discovered millions of years ago, or do you live in India?

Since local and much less imported fossil derived energy is simply not
an affordable option for many of us, and of anything nuclear simply
isn't there to behold either, are you talking about the burning of
food or perhaps human bodies in order to keep warm?

That sounds like it will cost more at the retail levels than they do now.

Wood was also invented, but billion years before fire

Far too many areas of Earth are wood deficient or otherwise biofuel
depleted as is. Now they have to dig up and burn roots.

Short of allowing millions of folks to continually and needlessly
starve, freeze, roast or even drown to their deaths, you and others of
your energy sucking kind offer nothing but that of a more energy
depleted environment, and otherwise a bloody and spendy future for
those of us willing to keep moving up the ladder and otherwise paying
the ultimate price.

I agree, solar looks like a very nice idea but we don't have to
limit ourselves to PV. Solar thermal is a lot cheaper and generally
more efficient.

This isn't the fault of PV. It's the fault of a country that places
such an incredibly low value on human life. PV can be made without
poisoning the land and killing people.

could be reduced to zero then we would not have to worry about energy,
pollution, waste, food, housing or anything else. :)

The problem with trying to reduce the total number of human beings
is that no one wants to be one of those "reduced" and people generally
can produce much more than they consume. If you reduce the number of
people, you also reduce your workforce.

History-wise, has these ideas been put into action in prior
times?

Another quick read on population by Thomas Malthus has been
followed by nearly two centuries of attempts to disprove his
warning(s).

The loony left has been demonizing China for their modernization,

now that they are no longer a primative agriarian Communist Utopia.

" 1366 Technologies has created solar cells in its lab that company
scientists are saying are 27% more efficient, bringing down the cost to
$1.30 a watt, beating the current best price of $2.10/watt by a country
mile."

Well ... Firstly the difference between $1.30 and $2.10 is SIXTY ONE
percent ! So for starters, the estimate of $1.30 is a straight LIE.

Also " in its lab " is a LONG way from being in production.

Just more of the usual wishful thinking I reckon.
