Launch due at 5:28 this evening my time, not 05:28 in the morning. Glad I
checked! |

In your article headers :
Quote: Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2008 06:18:26 GMT
NNTP-Posting-Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2008 17:18:26 EST
So the current EST is 11 hours ahead of GMT; the Shuttle launch was
announced for 02:28 current EDT, which is of course four hours slow by
GMT.
If NASA wanted to be helpful, they'd include the UT in their
announcements; and, if the US media wanted to be helpful, they'd include
that. Till then, try <URL:http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/js-
date5.htm#Demo>. It already has a TZ string which might be right for
NSW.
Since writing that, I've generated a Delphi utility form to convert from
time anywhere to time anywhere else, provided that the TZ strings are
available. It would need repackaging for release, though.

I normally use this: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc and
did in this case; only problem was, I didn't click the am - left it at the
pm setting. Sssssillly me. |
