HP8116a with error E51

Anyone knows what the error means ? i know its in the extended service
errors. Unfortunately the docs in Hp website say its explained on page
10.1 and their doc ends at 9.8 ....
i had a hardcopy of the manual somwhere but can;t find it right now ..
drat !

Would be cool if i can fix it. ( i've fixed 3 or 4 of these before. )

I've fixed a few of these myself - it's a well laid out unit and easy to
work on. Does this help?:
