Why are you talking about distilled water? Tap water will work with
the only side effect that the cell needs to be flushed out.

JW, didn't to previously post that the Meyer Cell was some sort of a
capacitor, using water as its dielectric? Then too, perhaps I am
mistaken and that bit of silliness was posted by someone else.

I assume that you do realize that "tap water" contains disolved salts
plus minerals, hence conducts electricity. It is an electrolyte, not
a dielectric.

The resistivity of good quality distilled water, by contrast, is
measured in the megohms, and can to an extent act as a somewhat leaky
dielectric.
This is precistly why only distilled water is used for the water
cooling of some high power, high voltage electonics devices such as
large transmitter tubes -- simply so that high voltage is not
conducted through the cooling water.

JW, I'm still waiting to hear your definition of the differences
between a "nuclear" reaction and a "chemical" reaction. Why no
explain
it to us mere mortals, so we all can all enjoy a a good laugh! Smile
Two sentence should be quite sufficient expanation, provided that you
actually do know the difference. You could start out with:

--- All chemical reactions inovolve only the ????? of atoms.
--- All nuclear reactions involve the ????? of an atom, and result in
the creation of a ????? element or isotope.

You could even conclude with:

--- Ionization of a an atom is not a nuclear reaction
because ???????,
--- X-Ray tubes produce electromagnetic radiation, but this is not a
nuclear reaction because ?????.
--- Natural radioactive elements are nuclear reactions because ?????,
--- A nuclear reaction involves a nuclear reaction because ??????.
--- The production of hydrogen and oxygen from water is not a nuclear
reaction because ?????.
--- The combusion of coal to liberate energy is not a nuclear
reaction
because ?????,

Now it's your turn.

I submit that you cannot post reasonable answers to any of the above
simple challenges, because your collective demonstated knowledge of
anything remotely scientific since on Usenet, over the past 10
years,
you have demonstarted that you have less scientific knowledge than
today's average 8th grade student.

Don't you realize that this level of extreme ignorance makes you a
prime target for confidence artists and quacks like Stan Meyer, Royal
Rife, Abrams and their entire pseudoscientific, quackpot ilk? Don't
your realize that it is those same guys who you ridicule the most,
that are trying to help you, and at the same time protect other from
believing that anything you say is even close to reality?
