When they blew up that nsa sat a few days ago, was it witnessed from
anywhere visually. I suppose they did it when the station was round the
other side of the planet but since there seem to be several thousand lumps
of debris about, one might suppose that some might reflect the sunlight
before it re enters.

Brian, there was not a lot to see. There was a nearly stationary dot
(the satellite) and another dot that was moving so fast it almost
couldn't be seen. The two dots collided, and a light-colored cloud of
expanding gas and debris (composed of small, fast moving pieces) was
seen. In order to fully see what was going on, the video at the press
conference was first shown at full speed, then slowed down
considerably. There seems to be no doubt that it hit, it hit hard,
and it pretty much destroyed the target. They are saying the
expanding gas cloud was probably the tank of hydrazine venting. Hope
this helps.

Very unlikely, since it happened over a very empty part of the north
Pacific, and during daylight, so that it could be filmed to verify the
hit.
