Since February 2003, Sudanese government backed Arab militias in the
Darfur (Sudan) province have driven more than 2 million (mostly farmers)
from their homes. Over 200,000 have been killed. Meanwhile, the world
twiddles its fingers. I offer the following suggestion on how to stop
the genocide dead in its tracks:

Send Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to the Sudanese capital to
demand that the Sudanese government stop the militias' activities.
During her spiel, have her bring the Sudanese President to the window or
door and tell him to look up as an immense fleet of U.S. Air Force
planes flies overhead, and tell him that if the genocide doesn't stop,
the planes will return to bomb the Sudan to Kingdom Come! Rice would
also tell the Sudanese government that we will arm the ethnic groups
that are being victimized by the militias.

These militias are men on horseback wielding guns. They are called the
"Janjaweed" It should be easy for us to deal with militias on
horseback. Just send in flying drones to look for concentrations of men
on horseback carrying guns, then bomb them! Our precision guided bombs
should make short work of those horses (like Nazi Germany verses Polish
horse calvery, only more so!).

Please contact President Bush (The White House, Washington, D.C., 20500;
(202) 456-1111; president@whitehouse.gov), Senator Boxer (U.S. Senate,
Washington, D.C., 20510; 202-224-3553; http://boxer.senate.gov/contact)
to urge him to send Rice to the Sudan to read them the riot act, and
also prepare to start bombing the Janjaweed and start arming the
Janjaweed's targets with machine guns and rockets (which should make
short work of freaking horses!).

Why is the greatest military power on Earth allowing men on horseback to
commit genocide?

1. The UN has not asked the USA to stop the Janjaweed.
2. Aircraft need airfields. It is unlikely that the neighbouring
country Libya would help. To operate from Europe would mean working at
extreme range.
3. At extreme range cruise missile can only hit static targets. The
horses and riders have time to escape whilst the missiles are in the
air. Manned aircraft have no time to search for a target.
4. Bombs are the wrong weapon to kill people - infantry men with rifles
are more appropriate weapons.
5. The USA has a big navy but only an ...err average sized army. The
army is a little busy in Afghanistan and Iraq at the moment.
6. The Janjaweed are not attacking whites or oil wells. They only kill
and enslave blacks. (Yes, the slavers are back.)
7. There have not been any million man marches an Washington demanding
that something be done.

There are plenty of African countries with large armies, the UN could
pay them to put a stop to this bad behaviour. If a neighbouring country
can lend the USA land for airfields hi-tech logistical support could be
provided.

What about aircraft carriers?

Nearly extreme range from aircraft carriers.

Lets urge Jesse Jackson to organize such a march (since the victims are black,
the same color as Jesse!).

Good ideas.

Libya recently turned over a new leaf, getting rid of its WMD programs. Maybe
Libya would help us in the Sudan!

There are also African countries to the south and west of Sudan.

On April 30, there was a large "Save Darfur" march in Washington, DC.
