I have a question, what is general item response model?? why is it
like this, prob (answer=True) = Link function (a,b,c;theta)?? I'm just
confused why it models the probability not the mean or etc?? since as
far as I know the GLM is modelling the mean (in the left side)..
Thanks very much for the attention and the answer =)

For a dichotomous item with 0,1 scoring, the probability of a '1' is
the mean. For other types of items, modeling the probability of each
alternative is more informative than modeling some summary parameter.
