I am reposting this question due to the recent spam.

I am looking for a vendor who can supply me with a polarization
separating prism pair. By this, I mean a pair of thin prisms
(preferably cemented together) that will split (in angle) the e and o
rays. This is to be used for an imaging application in collimated
space with the splitting being only a mRad or two. The prism pair
should be thin (less than 5mm) and have an aperture of about 15mm.

Anyone know of an off the shelf source or a company (preferably but
not necessarily in the United States) that can make such an item?

Karl Lambrecht can probably make you a quartz Wollaston that will fill
the bill. The birefringence of quartz is much less than that of
calcite, so the separation is much smaller too.

Thanks for the information. However, I'm looking for a company that
makes this kind of prism as a stock item.

For a Wollaston prism, your specifications are IMHO exotic and you
will not find a company that has one in stock. Perhaps there is
another type of prism that can do the job, but I doubt it.

o e polarization splitters of the type I am looking for are made in at
least the tens of thousands. They are used as anti aliasing filters
for CCD cameras.
