Hi everybody! A quick question, taking for example a common DC
electric motor used in most of the toys ¿how many turns, commonly, has
one of the windings of this motor? (I guess the other windings has
the same number of turns). I know I´m not giving any additional data
about motor but please tell me any number... I mean I guess most of
the motor has plus than 500 turns or don´t? |

The answer is "any number more than 0 and the field and armature windings
will have different numbers of turns- in fact the field may be a permanent
magnet.
To be less facetious there are a host of factors involved in the choice of
the winding. Some are applied voltage, desired power and speed as well as
other factors involving the geometry of the machine and two toy motors
could be quite different- mainly due to such factors and the cost of the
alternatives. The best idea is to look at one but I doubt whether the
armature has as many as 500 turns.
