hi
I am not planning to go to Iceland anytime soon to check by myself
but I really wonder what is going on there about "hydrogen era" or
"hydrogen trial" , depending on the press communiqué

I can find dozens of results , talking about general things, but not
much crispy information

always the same three yellow busses, the same shell hydrogen refill
station, and pictures of hydrogen stuff from anywhere in the world

the goal , official goal (?) , is to replace all fossil fuel by
hydrogen, by 2050

but I really wonder if there is a real pace of conversion, if it is
only still general research , even only a big buzz that will be
forgoten over time ? ?

maybe , by 2050 electric car would just be OK ;-)

Isn't the trick that it it only works in Iceland because they use
geothermal heat for steam reformation? Can't do that elsewhere without
a volcanoe or two.

There are plenty of volcanoes in other countries, the USA has one of
the highest number of volcanoes of any country in the world.

Volcano =/= easy geothermal heat.

No, but the possibility is being explored at the moment.

The Icelanders know that H202 is a waste of time.
