Big Bertha Thing language

The purest form of the english language is contained
in the dead sea scrolls. There is not a lot of it, even there.

Pure english language is a bit like house dust, all dead skin.

The living bits of the english language are anything but pure,
borrowing from a dozen drunken, pilaging, barbarian invaders,
with not one good intention between them.

Drawing of an ordinary gyroscope.

Fig. XVI

Extract from the Introductory Chapter:-
But the most interesting top of all is undoubtedly the ordinary
gyroscope. That depicted in Fig. XVI........ although merely
sold as a toy, is nevertheless capable of illustrating
the gyroscopic phenomena which have been so much made use of in
modern mechanical invention.

Big Bertha Thing rita

Educating Rita

This film portrays a dominant spouse and a long-suffering student,
to the extent upto and including divorce, book-burning and forced
pregnancy.

There was zero privacy. Any attempt to re-register or change
the password would not work, because the secret could not be kept.

Every posting by the spouse is a violation of OU rules and the students
education, causing real pain. Vetting by one moderator or by several
using a non-public Rita conf. would not work, because the spouse
would use the students name, with all the further alienation
that would cause.

A new policy needs to be adopted. The last resort punishment measure,
needs to be the first resort measure on compassionate grounds;
that of making the student read-only on FC. The student would thank
you for it, but not publically.

It would need to be agreed between ACS and OUSA, which is what
they are there for.

After 15 months, an armistice term has just been fullfilled.(2nd Battle)
Student research project conferences, by invitation only, now available.

Battles without cost are not battles.
I have just had the following shot out from under me:-

I don't see what pics of a positron particle (??) have to do with a conference on
Astronomy, which is basically stargazing and astrophysics and mainly optics.

Surely all this Big Bertha stuff should be diverted to a physics conference such as S271?

cheers

Caroline

Or even better, the conference that was specifically set up for exactly this material,
moderated by Spammer in Chief - Tony Lance.

Round photographic plates.

A pair of tracks, apparently arising simultaneously,
from a common point, outside the field of view.
The particles responsible for these tracks, have been ejected,

The thinner track is that of a 120 MeV electron.
The more dense track is that of a 130 MeV proton.

Big Bertha Thing laundry

My beautiful laundrette only had two machines,
so I asked my customers, if they would bring there own in.
Now we have seven machines and it is very nice.
Once we get the water pipes and electricity laid, it will be magnificent.
For water read data and electricity read documentation.

Big Bertha Thing tactics

To whom it may concern. (Newsgroup: sci.chem)
To defend against a denial of service attack on a newsgroup,
use the same tactics that Big Bertha Thing uses
on the most wanted list guys.
1. All threads are one posting long.
2. All replies are posted to one thread.
3. No postings of most wanted are read.
4. No replies to most wanted.
5. No direct criticism of most wanted.
6. All criticism should be pictorial, literate, allegorical
anecdotal and out of copyright.
7. It is a defense in English law that something which is not
libelous in one context, cannot be read in another
context as libelous.
8. This is also true of English universities, where the guy has tenure.
9. Corporate branding can reinforce trust, as well as irritation.
10. A group of guys posting across several newsgroups,
can have strategic reasons for their choice of newsgroups.
11. Three battles have been won so far. (39 family jewels)
12. The fourth battle is now on. (Asian Rim)
13. So I posted a picture of historical scientific interest,
which looked like a shell hole. (Virtual artillary shell)
14. Use double pass newsreader software to download headers,
before the rest of the postings. (NNTP)
