I am having a problem and I was wondering if you could help.
I had a sinus lift last year and Bio-Oss was used. Several days after
the procedure I could not breathe out of my right nostril(the same
side as the lift) and I was having a major post nasal drip that was
coming out yellowish-green.The dentist that performed the surgery
placed me on a different antibiotic.Several week passed and I was not
getting any better,different antibiotics were used,My WBC was in the
14-18k range.I was not getting better so I went to an infectious
disease doctor since my wbc was 15-20k I was having fevers and all the
while for several months I was on different oral antibiotics and it
didn't help,as well as I had a major post nasal drip which was green
in color.My I.D. MD placed me on vancomycin and merrem at the same
time I went to an OMFS who removed a lot of the bone graft material
that was blocking off my sinuses.Several weeks later I was still not
getting better and within 2 months after my OMFS surgery I had another
one to remove even more graft material.
All this while I was on the IV antibiotics and still no results
feeling extremely tired all of the time,green post nasal drip and at
times fevers.I was then referred to an ENT who performed after CT scan
an ethmoidectomy and a Caldwell Luc and he too removed more graft
material.
To date which is a year and a half I am still on IV antibiotics Merrem
and Vancomycin 3g and 2g resepectively ,still have a post nasal drip
still extremely tired regardless of how much sleep I have.The I.D.
takes me off the meds every once in awhile and I get even more
sick.Currently as of 5/21/07 my WBS is at 18k . I can not function . I
need help and was wondering if you could help me . |
