Hi everyone,

I've recently installed the newest version of auto (v07p,
http://indy.cs.concordia.ca/auto) in my Ubuntu (edgy) laptop. I didn't
have to many problems configuring it with the GUI and PLAUT04, but when
trying to run one of the demos (AB) I keep getting an error... I've
been using the commands as listed in the manual in pages 99-102, and I
get the error after issuing:

$ cp c.ab.3 c.ab
$ @r ab
Starting ab ...
At line 4951 of file autlib1.f
Fortran runtime error: Bad integer for item 1 in list input
make: [run] Error 2 (ignored)
ab ... done

I guess the error is not in the code but probably in the compiler. I'm
using gfortran version 4.1.1-6ubuntu3 (same version of gcc, g++...).

Any ideas on how to solve this??

Thanks to all,

Hi Rodrigo,

Unfortunately I cannot answer your question but I hope the following
information is useful.

At the beginning of this year I made a similar request for help getting
started with the AUTO2000 version. I did not receive an answer to my
question or to a follow-up asking if anyone knew where I could possibly
get help. It seems that there are few AUTO users reading this group.
I also sent an email to the authors of AUTO2000 but received no reply.
After searching the web I came across the tool ANT 4.669 package. I
found it easy to install and very good. Furthermore, the authors
quickly responded to a short question I had. Perhaps the tool will also
meet your requirements.
It can be found at http://www.ant4669.de
Best regards,
James Housden
