Yes, thanks Waldyr - I also have a point defect play a key role - which
of course you realize. Smile
I connect the geometrodynamic point defect with Susskind's idea of the
world hologram, i.e. that the surface degrees of freedom are more
fundamental in geometrodynamics, i.e. the volume degrees of freedom are
a kind of holographic projected image of these probably anyonic surface
modes.

Integral of an area operator on a closed surface surrounding a point
defect in the Goldstone phases of the vacuum ODLRO inflation field is
quantized in accord with the Bekenstein-Hawking

ONE WORLD HOLOGRAM BIT ~ EFFECTIVE PLANCK AREA (may be larger than
10^-66 cm^2)

That is - in superfluid helium with one Goldstone phase in the ground
state ODLRO field, the circulation integral around a closed loop
surrounding a line vortex defect is quantized.

Similarly, in the 4D world supersolid the inflation field has
effectively two Goldstone phases in the vacuum ODLRO inflation field,
the geometrodynamical area integral around a closed surface surrounding
a point defect in these two Goldstone phases is quantized as well. The
quantum gravity "foam" is perhaps replaced by a 4D "world crystal
lattice" (H. Kleinert) of these "pinned point defects" as nodes of the
lattice in 3-space.
