If evolution as the origin of man were founded in fact, the fossil
record
would be expected to reveal beginnings of new structures in living
things.
There should be at least some fossils with developing arms, legs,
wings,
eyes, and other bones and organs. For instance, there should be fish
fins
changing into amphibian legs with feet and toes, and gills changing
into
lungs.
Before digging up any fossils take a look at mudskippers.

Interesting animal.
Unfortunatly eyes and other 'soft' organs do not fossilize as most 10
year
olds know. Animals just don't die and fossilize in the ordered way
that
you
describe.
There should be reptiles with front limbs
changing into bird wings, back limbs changing into legs with claws,
scales
changing into feathers, and mouths changing into horny beaks.
The fossil record is not like Noah's ark, fossils are scattered by
random
factors like land movement and rivers, expecting to find the
evolutionary
history of a species in some sort of elephants graveyard scenario, is
both
naive and unrealistic.

Then the Fossil record is unreliable evidence to demonstrate evolution.
If you take a long drive down a motorway and pass one of the direction
signs without seeing it, does that change your destination?
This is not a good illustration. The fact is the road sign was there.
If you are driving from Manchester to London and stay on the M6 motorway,
the distance signs indicate 100, 75, 50, 25 miles and you fail to see the
75
miles sign, would you pull over and start franticly searching for your
road
map or carry on driving until you see the 50 mile sign confident that you
are on the correct road?
Since the M6 doesn't actually go to London who knows where you will
end up. Anyway, the A6 is more scenic and does go the whole way.
Wombat
Thanks for that. The direction signs don't occur every 25 miles either but
the again the focus of the post was not to give directions for driving from
Manchester to London.
