Sorry. I tried to navigate, but that board's like a rat's nest and I
couldn't find any such topic.

I did, however, get my fill of the willies on the newbies board, where
someone asks, "depravessed. is this right?" Unfortunately, you can't
even assume this is a student asking such crap anymore, because I've
seen working MTs who have no clue where the shift key is, let alone
basic terminology. I've seen proof that functional illiterates are not
only being passed through MT schools (Oh, isn't that lovely Certificate
of Completion just as good as a diploma?), but are apparently finding
their way to entry-level positions with supervisors who must be no more
capable than they are.

Tell me what THAT does to the pay scale, when all that seems to matter
is that *something* ends up on a report, just as long as it's only
costing 2-4 cpl. . .

Maybe she's changed it since this post but when I go to the site, it's
right there smack dab in the middle of the page.

Jeanne, are you going to the actual address of emptystars.net rather
than what it implies?

LOL--no. . . . I went to the actual empty MTstars. I wondered what the
heck she was promoting that mess for.

Nebber mind. <G>

Additional irony, now that I've found my way and see who tried to usurp
the emptystars franchise. As if.

(Cobwebs starting to clear now, TYVM. Did I mention I just woke up and
only had 4 hours' sleep today?)

I just find it ironic and it made me smile to know someone cared enough to
grab the domain while I wasn't looking. I did make appropriate corrections
on emptystars.net, though ;)

I can just picture it - little post it note on the monitor, cell phone
alarm set to go off just at the minute "your" domain expires, then POUNCE.
She just wanted to be you, Donna. Feel flattered! LOL

Now if you'll just remind the rest of us when this domain runs out,
you'll be sure to be warned WELL in advance to renew.

I have to say, though, it is kinda funny someone would be that
obsessed....

I'll hold onto this one and maybe pounce on the other when/if it runs out.

Ahem. You need serious remediation in internet skullduggery. Perhaps
there are anti-anti-OCD meds that could give you that paranoid edge you
need to really excel?
