Jeeminy Christmas, how many times have we all typed about patients being
refused narcotic medications? Talk about a paradox!
I'd definitely let the powers-that-be know, in addition to your
insurance company. It sounds awfully strange to me, and I'd like to
have been a fly on the wall to see what really happened to that medication.

I sure think you should write a letter. It's not as if you were out of
it and don't remember everything or maybe took something but didn't
think it was a narcotic. You refused it verbally several times. Surely
ONE of the professionals would remember that. I guess one should refuse
it and spice up the refusal with some choice language so they will be
sure to recall it. I'd write my insurance company too, if it is
something being run through them, stating you recall specifically
refusing it. Wonder if one narcotic pill would show up on a urine
screen and for how long!
