thinks (The ONE line seems to be better than their rank-and-file line), but
I have read the labels for the Chicken Soup line and their ingredients list
is awful -- the same high in corn meal and animal byproducts stuff as all
the other dog foods. (And personally, I think that animal digest would be
worse for a pet than byproducts, so I refuse to buy any pet food that has
animal digest in it.)

Innova makes pet food out of people-quality ingredients, and Winnie really
loved Innova Senior. We have used Wellness also.

I know of Flint River Ranch to be good quality; however, I don't buy
things that are only sold under pyramid marketing schemes.

If you can find a feed store in your area, they usually have better prices
than the local chain pet stores.

Okay, I'm going to ask ... what is "animal digest"?

My dogs eat a product called "Canidae" all natural. You can't find it in
a lot of places, but it is a mighty fine dog food. I buy the bags as well
as the cans. They have it for all ages. I buy it from the finest pet
stores here and grooming parlor.

On their website, they say they have just started to advertise. My guys
have been on this for about 2 years and it agrees with them. They make it
for cats too.

They are happy eating this food and they seem to be pretty healthy.

Incidentally, since when is Flint River Dog Food sold as a "pyramid
scheme?" I buy mine from a distributor by mail and I have never been
offered any pyramid-type incentives. I would prefer to buy locally, but
I have not found a brand that meets the criteria.

They might not recruit you to sell it, but if you sign up people under you
to sell it, you get overrides on their sales. And you *have* to hunt down
an individual dealer to purchase it. That qualifies it as a pyramid
scheme to me. I mean, there are perfectly decent products sold by pyramid
marketing (Avon, Usborne Books by home party plan, some nice clothing and
lingerie lines, my sister sells Creative Memories scrapbook stuff,
etc.) -- I just personally don't care for that type of marketing method.

I went to the site, and the ingredients list looks pretty impressive, and
there is a store close by that is supposed to carry it. Didn't say anything
about price on their site, but I will check it out. Thanks for the tip.

Let me know what you think. I have never seen anything negative on this dog
food. I know my guys love it. I ran out once and had to substitute with
Euk. and Mischka really got sick, but I don't know if it was because of the
sudden change in the food or if it was combined with moving, etc. He was in
the hospital for 4 days and could not eat normal food for a good month so I
will never let myself run out of it again. Some breeds have problems (shih
tzu are one of them) with various things so I wanted something that I felt
would be good for them that they would like.

In any event, I believe if they had had this dog food when I had my Bridgett
and Lady, I believe that their lives would have been entirely different.
