Nowdays it seems to me that you are better off upgrading.

In case of an upgrade the registry and file system is kept intact
which means lower performance and maybe reduced stability. Then again
it's less time consuming that installing from scratch and having to
reinstall / restore all your applications & data. So in the short term
upgrade wins out but in the long term you're better off with a clean
install.

Could just use a Mac.

I saw that at Best Buy near me, too. A gig of ram, and it uses up
3/4 of the ram just sitting on its ass and doing nothing? That's
a failure of an OS from the getgo.

: Anyone upgraded yet ?
:
: Had to buy a new machine, it came with Vista Home Premium 32
bit.
:
: Seems nice enough, there is a myriad of 'flavors' of Vista.
: Wondering when the bugs will show up.
:
: Couldn't even buy an XP machine at Best Buy.
