The great astronomical event where the solar radiation/orbital shadow
boundary ( SR/OS) crosses the polar axis occurs today.

Looking at the Earth from a fixed position, which keeps its
orientation fixed to Polaris over the course of an annual orbit, that
wonderful event where the path of the Earth takes it perpendicular to
the central diameter of the central Sun and splits the axis. Not only
is there global symmetry between daylight/darkness globally but also
the average speed/distance ratio is equal. All things are balanced
astronomically and globally making the Equinox a spectacular occasion
to appreciate the motions which make our existence possible.

The great alignment of terrestrial longitudes sweeping through the SR/
OS boundary before they mix in a complicated way until the next
Equinox contains so much information for those who can pursue it.I
hope that happens and it will be promoted as a shared heritage arising
from the works of Copernicus and Kepler.
