Dear Group,

Today's APOD is the wonderful mosaic by Pete Lawrence involving the
recent Saturn occultation (one day prior to the total lunar eclipse).

Congrats Pete for a great image!

Anthony.

LOL -just what I was thinking ;-)

He'll be along with "It's a fairly average picture"

Not sure whether he's a troll or just has a seriously big chip on his
shoulder.

Oh, and amazing pic, Pete - well deserves the award

As a (mostly) naked eye sky watcher I don't have the planetary angular
diameters to mind, but it was most enlightening to see such a direct
comparison with the lunar diameter I'd have guessed that the difference was
much greater. Well done from me too!

Pete's image is absolutely stunning! I'm not surprised that it has
attracted the attention of someone who has already had recognition by APOD.
