Dear Group,
Today's APOD is the wonderful mosaic by Pete Lawrence involving the
recent Saturn occultation (one day prior to the total lunar eclipse).
Congrats Pete for a great image!

As a (mostly) naked eye sky watcher I don't have the planetary angular
diameters to mind, but it was most enlightening to see such a direct
comparison with the lunar diameter I'd have guessed that the difference was
much greater. Well done from me too! |
