I saved this missal for future reference merely because you seem to

Several years ago, I was at a gem show, and there was a guy selling
Big chunks of Massive Garnet, stuff had been cut in the coffee table
size slabs about 4 inches thick, and then the top have been polished.
where each of these massive interlocked Xtals were star garnets, and
the largest had been cut into and a cup formed making a concave star
anti cabochon each top had 25 to 30 anti cabs in it...the top was
semi transparent. He had sold about 20 of them that weekend for 15K
each... the smaller 24 x 24 slabs polished the same way went for
about 7.5k each. He has some small display items 4-6 inches for a few
hundred bucks. He sold no rough... he also has signal cabbed stones
for a few hundred bucks each. Semitransparent Star Garnets...

I have his address in Idaho someplace.
