Since posting some relevant URL's one is not surprised at the thundering
silence....

The URL's you posted were not relevant.

Only kooks think craters are caused by electrical discharges.

Stuart,

You have not posted one specific scientific objection to any of the posts I
have made

This is a typical Kook response, not scientific

One does not need to post specific objections to a kooky post. It stands or
falls on its own merit. Hence the silence.

Name dropping will not help kooky theories.

Please provide an actual reference to scientific literature where Hannes Alfven
proposed that electrical discharges produced structures like large craters.
Links to kook sites invoking his name do not count.

But this is typical of kook argumentation. Plasma phyiscs is real. Nobody
disputes that plasmas exist or Alfven's theorem for that matter.

However, that does not lend credibility to the idea that lunar craters, for
example, are formed by electrical discharges.

And yes Louis I am as comfortable in EM theory and Alfvens' theorem as I am in
Newtonian mechanics.

The maths don't elude me. THey simply don't help you.

Please note that an electrical discharge requires an anode and a cathode.
Since there is no atmosphere on the moon, half of the electrical circuit
required for a discharge is missing.

Your peers find you guilty of being a kook. We sentence you to reading REAL
12 science books in 24 hours. Pop quizz on Saturday. Why are all the kooks
from Australia?

Please! I never noticed that Louis was from here! Maybe it's only the ones

with French-sounding names........ Ooops! Did I say that? Maybe it's the
climate here at this time of year - at the moment we're having 30°C days at
90% humidity ending in thunderstorms. Tends to bring out the folks with
fried eggs on their head.
cheers

Not to insult all Aussies, it just seem that there are an inordinate number
of kooks posting from that fair land. And Canada as well.
