Hi all,
Just a reminder, I am a hobbyist so, please, no remarks about my cheap
cutter.
I've been using my speedway plasma cutter successfully for awhile now
and have just experienced a problem.
After a cut the air flow at the nozzle does not stop.
Unplugging the air line and re-connecting will stop the nozzle flow and
allows me to do another cut. But then again the air flow won't stop.
If I turn the unit off and then on the air flow at the nozzle does not stop.
I suspect the airflow solenoid or the plasma gun itself.
Is something getting stuck?
Has anyone experience this problem before?
Has anyone got a suggestion before I tear the system down?
All inputs are greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Simon Shabtai Evan
PS this is a great group. |

Is it correct that
1) air flow stops if and only if you unplug the air line
2) and air flow does not resume if you reconnect your air
If so, then, I would suspect bad air valve.

What Iggy said. When the air flow is flowing when it's not supposed to,
give the air solenoind a sharp rap with a block of wood. If that stops
the air, the solenoid is hanging up. Replace same.
