I needed tungstens that my local shop didn't stock (they don't have
lanthanated), so I ordered some from Aglevtech on Ebay. I also got
some gas lens collet bodies (45v44, 45v43) just to stock up. I put
them in with my existing stock and forgot about them. Long story
short, after a year or so I have finally sorted out my gas coverage
problems to the gas lens. I have an aircraft welding business so I
weld daily and am confident in my findings. My feedback on the problem
received the following reply:

I didn't ask for replacements or refund, I just wanted to spare
others the hassle of poor welding results and the frustration of
trying to figure it out. Who would suspect a brand new gas lens collet
body? I called American Torch and they were going to look into it and
call me back. That was a week ago.

The only difference I can see between the ones that work and the
ones that don't is the bad ones have only 4 holes when you look inside
the collet body. All the ones that work have 6 or more holes.

I would ask any online supplier to look inside and see how many
holes they have before buying. You will be glad you did.

Also, if anyone wants to try the ones I have to confirm my results,
I have 10 of them.

Good luck, Scott.

I'm not surprised.
They're just re-labellers.
They don't make anything.

From the outside, they look well made, so I thought it would be easy
to just re-tool for more flow by adding more holes. Then we could have

a quality product at a lower price. They don't seem interested in
improving their product.
