You might want to double-check that last part... I've seen other
places with a no-return policy on generators. Probably because too
many people take them on a weekend camping trip and then bring them
back on Monday.

Not that I would have recommended a cheap generator for commercial use
(especially such a small one), but some of the Chinese clones are
actually pretty nice for the money. What exactly quit on it?

Engine runs fine, fuse and circuit breaker fine, just a trickle of voltage
output. So the factory people said they will send out a voltage regulator
and for us to swap it out and see what happens. But that has now been over a
week and when I call them to ask for progress report all I get is
bureaucratic gobbledygook... it's in process... it must have been shipped by
now... you should have it in a few days... yakkidy yak.

Sorry to hear about your grief with the Pep Boys. Doesn't surprise me
that those incompetent bastards are close to bankruptcy. I don't know
how many times that I have gone there for routine parts, (bulbs,
filters, etc) only to find they are out of stock! They simply don't
have the business systems to know what sells and what doesn't, so they
end up with poor sales as a result, and customers need to go somewhere
else to get the parts they needs. Didn't matter what store I went
into (Vista, SD, Nasty City), they all suffer from poor stock
management.

Political Correctness

A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority and
rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media,
which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Just for fun, I looked up and down the coast in search of an outfit selling
similar generators and have offered each one an invitation to sell me one if
they could tell me where in San Diego I could get it serviced when needed.
Not surprising, not one has responded to my offer to buy one of their units.

This does not bade well for my quest to get son's generator up'n running
again.

Follow up with ARCO yet? I talked to Dennis yesterday, he has a 125 amp

welder for sale, engine driven, something like $350
