Maple supports code translation. You could try to automate the
conversion with help from the code generation package in Maple. It has
(among many things) an import command:

MathML[Import] - translate a MathML expression into a Maple expression

Is it a possibility to intermediately translate MathCad to XML via
codegen[MathML] - generate MathML text
and then to import this in Maple via the above MathML[Import] ?

Anyway: Maple is great!

Thanks for your suggestion.
The problem is that MathCAD exports figure in stead of text when I
save the MathCAD file as MathML file. So Maple can not recognize the
figure as text.

Any other suggestion?
