Earlier today, I received a message from one of a group of retinal
specialists who are concerned about the cost to society of Lucentis,
especially with the availability of Avastin.

The specialist sent me a copy of a White Paper that the group had
written and after reading it, I asked permission to put it up on my
web Journal. Permission was granted, and it is now posted. Here is the
link:

I'm sure you will find it enlightening.

You may think it was time for a double blind study on Avastin,
wouldn't you???

Dr. Grant,

The real question is -- will it ever get off the ground?

If you read my Update #9, you know that some within the pharma and
medical device industry are trying to stop the study, for fear of a
lower priced drug getting approval.

At a retinal update meeting a few weeks ago, we were told there IS a current
double-blind study of Avastin and Lucentis going head to head.
