In a thread posted to all THREE sci.stat. groups , Beliavsky chose
to DELETE sci.stat.math from it and posted this in the other two:

that

It has occured to me just now that Beliavsky's post was 2/3 unprovoked
PERSONAL attack on Reef Fish.
If he wanted to try to revive his moribund group, he could have
announced it to all THREE sci.stat.* groups something like:
Bel> There is a Google Group scistatmath
Bel> http://groups.google.com/group/scistatmath devoted to statistics
without his gratuitous and groundless personal attacks on me.
