OM I sure like your website! Wanted you to know even though I don't agree
whole heartedly with all you have to say, and I don't appreciate your
language and some of your humor, I must take my hat off to you about your
blog and website. It's A-1 all the way. Would like to talk to you about a
personal web site.
Also enjoyed your tribute to the A204 crew. May they rest in peace.

Well said.

I suspect that OM has you in his killfile as the majority of the
posters here end up there for one reason or another.

Oh that's OK I've stopped worring about kill files a long time ago. Thanks

for the comment tho.

His work on the Columbia FAQ was fantastic, bringing together a lot of
sources into one easy-to-use place (beat out by the CAIB report, but
that had a bigger staff).

BTW, your sig appeared at the top of your last post in this thread,
but Google seems to have properly found the body text.

....No, only the trolls and idiots, of which you happen to qualify for
both in excess.

....Hey, so far you've been harmless compared to what Chumpko, McCall,
and Simberg have done to have themselves condemned to Killfile Hell
for eternity. Just don't go their route and you'll have nothing to
worry about.

....And one thing that I intend to do is to go through that CAIB report
and make corrections where applicable. Note that while the CAIB report
did easily beat our FAQ - remember kids, all I did was compile the
data and analyses, and make sure certain facts were made clear in
tones and wording that weren't misconstruable or conbefuddleable -
everyone here who contributed back during the FAQ's creation,
especially during those ~120 hours I did not sleep, deserves as much
credit as I've gotten. That's the same thing I've told everyone who
e-mailed their thanks in those days, and I'm sticking to that because
it's true. When I put together the 5th anniversary retrospective,
where I go into detail about how .history and .shuttle answered the
call to prevent a certain old fuckwit and his psychotic hire-a-pig
"son" from slandering the memory of yet another Shuttle loss, I'll be
quoting the posts I've stored in archive from those days, and making
sure that those who contributed get the credit they're due. Nobody did
this for glory, and that's why all should get the credit they earned.

Note, however, that the Orlando Sentinel and that other Florida rag
have never given us credit for doing their work; every single fact
they placed in "their" FAQ showed up on ours two to three hours
earlier. But what the frack? The site got some 6 million hits in the
first 90 days, and a million of that was *before* we got
Slashdotted...

Sorry I don't fit into your caste system the way you like.

Yes, OM's blog is a resource. Too bad about OM himself...
