My Grandmother (85 years old) had a Hb level of 8.2 3 months ago and
now her Hb is 5.9.
The Gp has put her on three ferrous sulphate a day (that was a three
weeks ago). She is still finding it very diffcult to walk and is very
irratable all the time.
Her diet is vegeatrian but all she seems to eat is bread. Her intake
ofo vegetables is more or less nil - I just an't get her to take her
veg!!
She is on half a Fortisip health drink a day but that doesn't help
control her diabetes. She is on insulin.
Loads of her other blood results were out of their correct ranges.
HER UREA IS 11.9,
ALBUMIN 25
CREATINE 144
Wbcs 18.5
Rbcs 3.46
Hct 0.210
MCV 60.7
Plt 954
Neutrophils 13.90
Lymphocyted 1.02
Moncytes 3.28
Can any one help me diagnose anything with these results?
She was on mild aspirin but GP has said to stop as it might have been
causing internal bleeding.
