Should I have my child's cavity filled even with it being a baby tooth, or
could I just wait for her tooth to fall out and then if her permanent tooth
develops a cavity, then have it filled? Next appt is this coming Monday.
Any suggestions would be nice before then. |

Why wouldn't you just ask your child's dentist?
At age 11 on average most of the baby teeth have been lost. However, it
is not unusual for second primary molars to hang on significantly
longer, and if they are lost prematurely it can severely compromise the
bite, esp. the position of the first (and later the second) permanent
molars. The development of the succeding tooth should be checked before
a decision is made.
