I know that many GPS units today have waypoint alarms that will go off
if you get within a certain distance of a waypoint. But is there a
way to define a region or area in which an alarm will go off if I
enter that area? i.e. define it with vectors?

example. lets say I own 1000 acres of land.. can I use software to
define that region and then when I go out to the property it will
alert me if I go outside those boundaries?

thanks for any help,
brent...

The iFinder Hunt has an option called "Scout Plots" that wont sound an

alarm, but will let you create boundaries which will show up on the map
and also show your position. It will let you save 100 Scout Plots.

If you are interested in checking it out you can download the manual for
the Hunt on Lowrance's website.
