Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me out with some info or advice about my duck.
He's a Silver Appleyard and over the last couple of days he's developed a
limp.
I've checked his feet and compared them to his brother and sisters and they
all look the same, so no bumble-foot - if ducks get
bumble foot? and there are no sores or breaks in his skin, but he's gimping
around looking miserable and lying down rather than
trying to get to food or to water.
Right now I've taken him out of the run and have him in the laundry (aka
quarantine for every thing except the goat and children...), and I'm hoping
this will right itself if he doesn't have to work it too much for the next
couple of days.
If anyone has any experience with apparently uninjured ducks limping I'd
love to hear any advice you might have,
Thanks
Andi

If there really is no obvious injury it may be strained tendons from rough
play with siblings
How old are they all -- how many girls and boys?

Hi Jill,

there are 4 of them - 2 boys and 2 girls (tho one of the girls is a bit
androgynous, might be a boy) and they're about12 weeks old,
they've only had all of their feathers for a a month of so,
thanks for your reply,
Andi
