Post-Doc: Isik University, Turkey
A post-doc researcher position is available in the Department of
Computer Engineering, Isik University, Turkey. The position is part of
a project on the security analysis of chaotic encryption systems, which
is funded by TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of
Turkey). The project involves the mathematical and simulation analysis
of chaotic encryption systems to determine their weaknesses and the
search for possible remedies that may make chaotic encryption a
practical option in the design of security algorithms.
Candidates for the position should have a PhD degree in one of
quantitative fields and have a working knowledge of dynamical systems
and MATLAB simulation tool. Knowledge of basic cryptography is an
advantage but not required.
The position is open from Feb 2007 until it is filled and is initially
for two years with a possible extension for a third year. A tax-free
monthly scholarship of 1,750 YTL (1 YTL ~ 0.7 USD) will be provided for
the researcher.
