The Composite Materials Research Laboratory at the University of South
Alabama is seeking applications for a postdoctoral research associate in the
area of polymer composites and nanocomposites. The research associate is
needed to work on multi-year research projects funded by National Science
Foundation (NSF) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The successful candidate is expected to have strong background in polymer
processing and characterization, composites manufacturing, and composites
mechanics. Prior experience with nanocomposites and non-destructive
evaluation (NDE) would be highly desirable. The candidate should possess a
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Polymer
Science and Engineering, or related fields and have a demonstrated strong
publication record. In addition to conducting research, the candidate will
assist in the management of undergraduate and graduate students, write
peer-reviewed manuscripts, proposals, and project reports.

The University of South Alabama is a public Doctoral Research Intensive
