I am a senior who is double majoring in computer science and math. I
am also toying with the idea of going to graduate school. The problem
I have right now is coming up with some ideas for a research project
in math to get my BS in Math. I would also like to incorporate
someting computer related, or something I can program. I want it to
be challengeing but not so difficult that I have trouble keeping up
with the other things in my life (job, fiance, varsity track team,
friends). I have about 4 months to do it once i start after Christmas
break, but I keep shooting blanks when I try to think of ideas. I was
thinking possibly something to do with cyrptography, but I am open to
almost anything at this moment. |

You might look into operations research. Optimization of coupled processes
can be interesting and quite difficult.
