Can the United States file a case with the WTO against other countries
that have no child labor laws, no workplace safety laws, no clean air
or water acts, or that use communist slave labor, on the basis of
unfair trade practices? Why are only the United States' steel tariffs
fair game for WTO actions, and not the lack of laws protecting worker
rights in other countries, that allow them to produce manufactured
goods at depressed prices? |

I know that there are several WTO.
The first questions are about the World Trade organisation.
1) Brazil seemed to be satisfied with the new agreements to some extent
(if I remember it correctly a brasilian representative spoke of "not
insignificant changes"?
What did Brazil want to have?
2) Has WTO undergone major changes since the entry of China into the
organisation?
Luigi,
The title of this newsgroup suggests this is an appropriate place to
discuss such matters. But hardly anybody that knows what they are
talking about posts here. Instead one usually gets, at best,
ideological posturing. There's also a lot of racist nonsense posted
here.

You are probably right. But this seems to be a problem which affects other
Newsgroups as well.
In any case I have not read any direct answer to the 2 questions which I
asked above.....
