and though I wouldn't want to start any religious wars by
mentioning anything religious, I do think that people here do
have the true meaning of what this holiday signifies, even
though I can not find words to express that.

I'm convinced that I have been helped here and this group is
one of the things for which I am Thankful. I hope you all are
happy and that nothing painful or harmful happens to you this
next year, and that if it does you are able to handle it.

It's difficult to say something meaningful to people with such
diverse points of view, but I do believe you know I am speaking
in good will and with good intentions.

Thanks for the help, the interesting conversation, the education,
and the chance to express my own ideas.

Oh crap...what the hey are you trying to do anyway? Restore my faith in
people Smile? Oh cripes...Merry Christmas or Holy Moses or whatever...may
even the fucking Islamics have a good day. (hehe, how's that for xmas
spirit?). I guess we do the best we can. But seems stupid in a way...the
other 364 days of the year, people here argue until they're blue in the face
'against' God (uh...christmas is a religous holiday you know, supposed to be
anyway). Does this one day prove a spiritual significanse or something; or
perhaps just respect for the ignorance of others? I see even JJ is quiet on
the subject for the day anyway, ha. Well, an ember is an ember...and who
knows, the fire might burn bright even yet. May you all find the
significanse of God in your heart (that goes for me too; it's been awhile
for sure).

Merry Christmas, NSQ. You have been a valuable addition to this group.
Surely the atheists can appreciate the act of giving that comes with this
time of year, as well.

Likewise.
I am grateful for the many gifts of knowledge and
wisdom the people here have shared with the group.
Though I can't contribute much, the transformation
engendered by the ideas shared here has made a real
difference in my experience of life....and who knows
where they may eventually lead?....maybe someday
I can even contribute something fruitful back. :-)

May the Holiday bring growth and renewal of hope...
maybe part of the symbolism of Christmas is that of
the potential becoming actual... to me that can be a
kind of miracle in itself...my Christmas wish to each
of you is that if there be a need, may the miracle of
transformation bring forth and make actual the true
potential of which you dream.

All the best,
Dare

I suppose I should add my grain of sand to this thread, and say that this is
one of the best newsgroups I have found in the Internet. Thank you folks.
Hope you all have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it! Smile
(at least that's what they told me.)

Maybe I should just start one of those "blogs" instead..
then the whole online universe will have the opportunity
to be bored by my stories. :-)

The ultimate in applied solipsism.

We'll....er, I'll....see how it goes. Smile
Thanks,
