Environmentalists in general and Greenpeace particular are Luddites.
Attorney General John Ashcroft's persecution of Greenpeace under an anti-
sailor-mongering law is extremely moderate and reserved. It is only going to
lead to loss of tax exempt status. Just like a bleeding heart liberal. If
Ashcroft had any backbone he would have gone after them with the Frame
Breaking Act of 1812 which made direct action of the Luddite kind punishable
by hanging. The judgement of history does not look kindly upon the Luddites
who staged three revolutions against industrialism. It is time for Ashcroft
to put Greenpeace in the same place as Saddam Hussein.

incidents to weaken the laboring movement.

Perhaps he meant prosecute. After all, he is the Attorney General, and
that is his job.

Hmmmm.. I wasn't aware that protesting the illegal importation of hard wood
trees was a luddite act.

Perhaps the Fascist Dr. would explain why he believes it to be so?
