Help me make sense of this popular press article:

"The jellyfish, of the family Coeloplana, has its mouth on its underside
and its anus wrapped around its brain."
I thought that a jellyfish's gut had only a single opening, and that it
had no brain.

Also all jellyfish have their mouth on the underside.

The second clause refers to the reporter, not to the critter.
Coeloplana is a ctenophore, btw, not a cnidarian. Ctenophores have anal
pores, which I believe cluster around the dorsal sense organ - I am,
however, currently far away from my old Invert book. |
