Ask a contact lens wearer what is the bane of his or her life and the
answer will come pat. It is the daily grind of removing the contact
lenses each night and maintaining a regular routine of cleaning the
contact lenses to ensure their efficacy is not compromised. Thus the
discovery of the Acuvue contact lens has been welcomed by contact lens
wearers with open arms.

The arrival of the Acuvue contact lens, first introduced in the late
eighties by the firm of Johnson and Johnson, made international
headlines as they promised the wearer freedom from the daily grind of
contact lens maintenance as its primary advantage. The Acuvue contact
lens is the first disposable contact lens to hit the market and has
remained on top of the charts in the field of contact lens research
and manufacturing.

The disposable contact lens better known as the Acuvue contact lens
can be changed daily and allows the wearer the joy of wearing a fresh
pair of lenses each morning. Thus there are no messy solutions to be
dealt with and no time to be wasted in carefully cleaning out those
thin pieces of plastic or glass.

Then with the ongoing research in the field of Acuvue contact lenses
in place, these lenses now come fitted with ultra violet ray
protection, giving the wearer the advantage of eye protection even in
the outdoors.

The makers of this lens have also gone into ensuring that Acuvue lens
is handy and easily spotted on the crowded dressing table, by making
the lenses with a slight hint of tinting.

This clever scheme helps in locating and handling the Acuvue lenses
even when one is not too tidy a person or the dressing table in one’s
room is actually a place for equipping oneself for a role on stage,
chockfull of bottles and brushes, for completing make-up needs.

With so much in store, it did not take long for major manufacturers to
switch over from making the durable hard lenses to the Acuvue contact
lenses. Today, this product is produced

I don't think so. It isn't well written. Do you really think that the
major manufacturers all make Acuvue lenses? How about that last
"sentence"?

I think it's just a scheme to get you to click on the web site at the
end. Of course, I didn't do that, so I am just guessing, but I suspect
that you will be barraged with ads, and the author will receive a
commission for showing you those ads.

I have seen this on other newsgroups.

Yeah, there's the system with Google Advertising where you get paid if
you host another company's ads and you get paid everytime someone
clicks the link. But each click has to be from a unique location
otherwise it won't count (I think). Although I suppose you could use
proxies to take advantage of that.
